02What we offer
We could list forty. These are the three that work around a trip, so they're the only ones on this page.

| Hydra Gentle | Dermashio | Botulinum | |

Hydra Gentle's redness and swelling are the usual course for this type of facial, not a measurement taken here.
On makeup after botulinum toxin: there is no fixed waiting time. Put it back on when you like — apply it gently, and avoid pressing or rubbing the injected areas for the rest of the day.
Hydrodermabrasion facial
Redness and stinging during treatment. Dryness, tightness or light flaking for a few days. Pinpoint red spots or bruising where the suction head passes (more likely on thin skin). Increased sun-sensitivity for several days. Less often: irritation or allergic reaction to a solution. Rarely: cold sore recurrence if you're prone to them.
Pregnant, possibly pregnant or breastfeeding · pacemaker or implanted defibrillator · severe diabetes, malignancy, heart disease, bleeding disorder or keloid-scarring tendency · active infection or severe dermatitis at the treatment site.
Three passes in one session: AHA lifts surface debris, BHA clears the pores, then hyaluronic acid goes back in.
| What it's for | Clogged pores, blackheads, dullness, dryness, rough texture |
|---|---|
| Time in clinic | 60–90 min on a first visit — 30–60 min with the doctor, then about 30 min for the treatment itself |
| Course | Every 2–4 weeks, 5–10 sessions recommended |
Washing, showering and makeup are fine same-day. Skip alcohol, hard exercise, baths and saunas that day, and limit sun exposure after. Redness/swelling figures are the usual course for this facial, not a clinic measurement — yours may differ.
A scratchy, stinging feeling as the handpiece passes, and a light tug from the suction. Skin feels tight and looks pink afterwards. Tell us any time and we'll ease off.
This is not HydraFacial®. Hydra Gentle is a different device.
Needle-free infusion · electroporation
Tingling and warmth during treatment. Redness and itching afterwards, usually brief. Less often: dryness, small blisters, hives where the applicator sits, or a brief muscle twitch. Uncommon but serious: a superficial burn (if the current is too strong or skin is broken), or an allergic reaction to an infused ingredient — this treatment carries actives past the skin barrier, so a reaction is possible even to something you've used before.
A pacemaker, implanted defibrillator or any implanted electronic device — absolute. Also: pregnancy or possible pregnancy · epilepsy or seizure history · heart condition or abnormal rhythm · metal implants or surgical metalwork near the area · broken, infected, inflamed or sunburned skin there, or reduced sensation · known allergy to any serum.
Electrical pulses open temporary micro-channels, so actives reach the dermis. What used to need a needle goes in without one.
| What it's for | Rough or dry skin, pigmentation, fine lines, laxity, dullness, acne |
|---|---|
| Time in clinic | 60–90 min on a first visit — 30–60 min with the doctor, then about 30 min for the treatment itself |
| Base, always included | 16 amino acids + 3 ceramides, and a high-performance vitamin C derivative (APPS + APS) |
| Then you choose | 2 actives — one from each group |
| Group A | Ceramide · Proteoglycan · Collagen · Glycylglycine |
| Group B | Vitamin E · Argireline & Syn-Ake · Tranexamic acid · Vitamin B12 · Niacinamide |
| Add on | Bakuchiol ¥3,300 · extra serum ¥2,200 · infusion mask ¥2,200 · neck & décolleté ¥10,000 |
You can put your makeup back on and walk out.
Mild but noticeable: a tingle, sometimes a metallic taste (the current reaching taste receptors — documented and harmless) or a flicker of light near the eyes (a phosphene, from the current reaching the retina — not considered harmful). Both stop the moment the current does. Thinner skin (forehead, cheeks) feels it more. Tell us any time and we'll turn it down.
Before you arrive: come with a clean face if you can, and take off any metal — necklaces, earrings, piercings.
Expression lines
Headache · heaviness or an odd feeling around the eyes · drooping brow or eyelid · pain, inflammation, redness, itching, swelling or bruising at the injection site. Rarely, the effect spreads beyond the site — see below.
The effect can occasionally spread beyond the injection site. If you have difficulty swallowing, speaking or breathing, or unusual muscle weakness — any time in the following weeks, including once you're home — get medical help immediately, mention the botulinum toxin injection, then message us.
Relaxes the muscles that fold the skin. It doesn't work instantly, which for a trip is usually an advantage.
| Forehead | ¥15,000 |
|---|---|
| Chin | ¥15,000 |
| Mouth corners | ¥15,000 |
| Procedure fee | ¥5,000, once per visit — regardless of how many of the above areas you have treated |
| Anaesthetic | ¥2,200 per area, optional |
| Time in clinic | About 60 min on a first visit — about 30 min with the doctor, then about 30 min for the injections |
| Onset | Noticeable at about 1 week, settled at 2 weeks |
| Lasts | Usually 3–4 months, then fades back gradually |
Like any injection there's some swelling and soreness at the sites for a few days.
A quick sting at each injection point — the clinic describes it as little pain. Numbing cream available at ¥2,200 per area if you'd rather.
Roughly 4% of injections, peaking a day or two later and clearing in one to two weeks — waiting an extra day before you fly doesn't avoid it. Concealer covers it.
No evidence-based waiting period exists — the 2016 international consensus found none supporting air-travel restrictions. As a practical precaution we suggest at least 4 hours, staying upright. Clinics abroad that say 24–48 hours are following convention, not a guideline.
Ask to see the box. We'll show you the sealed, batch-numbered packaging before anything is drawn up. Please do ask.
03Why oneUPclinic
You pay exactly what someone living in Tokyo pays. The price on this page is the price at the desk.
Redness, bruising, makeup, flying: where there's a figure worth standing behind, you get the figure. Where there isn't, we say so.
Short appointments that leave your day intact. English instructions, a summary for your doctor at home, and a real person to message once you're back.

05Who'll treat you
Medical Director, oneUPclinic
Graduated from St. Marianna University School of Medicine in 2015; in clinical practice since, running oneUPclinic in Shimokitazawa.
Mostly aesthetic dermatology for skin texture — electroporation and pore-cleansing facials, two of the treatments here — plus hyaluronic acid, dermatologic lasers and HIFU, with the plan built around the skin in front of him.
Many patients are having an aesthetic treatment for the first time — the consultation is built for that.
06How it works
WhatsApp or email. Online booking closes 24 hours ahead, so don't leave it to the morning of.
And send you an intake form in English before you arrive.
You see the doctor first, then have the treatment in the same visit. Not automatic: if that day isn't right, we say so and rebook.
Instructions in English, a summary for your doctor back home, and someone to message after you fly.
You're in charge of how far you go. Change your mind at the consultation, do less than planned, or skip treatment altogether. It costs nothing.
Open the booking calendar to see what's open. It runs in Japanese and can't complete a first appointment on its own — message us and we'll do the booking for you.
07Before you book
Who we can't treat, and the risks for each treatment, are set out with that treatment above.
Hydra Gentle and Dermashio: no waiting period, fly the same day. Botulinum toxin: at least four hours, staying upright.
Cabin air is dry (10–20% humidity) — bring a moisturiser. Don't press on your face: no eye mask, no neck pillow, no sleeping face-down. After Hydra Gentle, skin is more UV-sensitive for a few days, so keep the window shade down.
Makeup can go straight back on — apply gently, and don't press, rub or massage the injected areas that day.
Your passport. For Dermashio, leave jewellery at the hotel. Worried after you fly home? Message us.

| Maps | Google Maps · Apple Maps |
Walking times are from Shimokitazawa Station (4 min from us). We don't book these and get nothing from them — just useful to know what's close.

| Yuen Bettei Daita | 8 min walkOnsen ryokan — or 30 seconds from Setagaya-Daita, one stop away |

Shimokitazawa is a good place to spend the rest of your afternoon. Vintage shops, coffee, small live venues, and very few tour buses.
09FAQ
No. The consultation is held in English.
One thing to plan around: our online booking system runs in Japanese, so message us and we'll handle the booking for you.
Usually yes. First appointments here are booked as a consultation plus treatment in the same visit, so you don't need to come twice.
It isn't automatic. If what the doctor finds means treating you that day isn't the right call, we'll say so and rebook rather than proceed.
After Hydra Gentle or Dermashio, yes — same day, no waiting period.
After botulinum toxin there's no evidence-based mandatory wait; we suggest at least four hours, staying upright. Bruising, if it happens, tends to show up a day or two later rather than immediately, so timing your flight doesn't change the odds. Your doctor confirms this at your consultation.
Japanese medical advertising rules restrict them, and ban patient testimonials outright. A before-and-after image may only run alongside the full treatment details, cost and risks for that case.
So instead of other people's results, this page tells you exactly what happens, what it costs, and what can go wrong.
